Throughout the year we hold events to inspire a career in surgery, which in the past have ranged from the Scrubs Party during Freshers' Fortnight, to the exciting talks and workshops held by world-renowned surgeons.
COnference
Each year we organise the International Undergraduate Surgical Conference (iNUSGC) in the heart of London on UCL Campus - the first and the biggest conference of its kind in the UK, with world-leading surgeons delivering talks every year.
A Message from our President
Welcome to UCL Surgical Society- UCL Society of the Year 2021/22!
On behalf of the whole committee I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our members. Whether you are already committed to a career in surgery or are simply curious, we have the event for you! The aim of our society is to provide equal opportunities for you to pursue a career in surgery whatever your circumstances. To achieve this aim we run events from basic introductory sessions to clinical skills workshops and international conferences.
Our committee will be running events that cover every surgical specialty, providing the perfect opportunity for you to find out what sparks your interest. We also run a shadowing scheme, giving you the chance to go to theatres, allowing you to get a true sense of what it means to be a surgeon. Alongside our various mentoring schemes, educational events, and research opportunities, this will allow you to develop the skills and experiences needed to develop your portfolio for Core Surgical Training.

The National Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Conference
This year we will also be running social events to make UCL Surgical Society the community to be a part of at medical school!
